10:10 is a movement with the simple objective of getting everyone in the UK to cut their carbon emissions by 10% in 2010. Started by Franny Armstong (Age of Stupid), it now has serious support throughout the UK. Many of the ideas not only save CO2, but also save you money (lower gas bills etc).
If you want to calculate your current carbon footprint visit http://www.carbonindependent.org/ and input your details. The big ones are: heating and electricity, car and air travel.
There’s a basic list of actions published on the 10:10 site which you can take as a starting point, and then build from there. 10:10 are also featuring specific areas in more detail, month by month.
